Do I need a Website?

That is one of the most often asked questions I get: “do I need a website?”. The short answer is yes, but a quality website. A poorly built or written website might hurt you more than having no website at all.
So why do you need a website:
- It’s said that 70-80% of all people go online before they purchase a product or service.
- Nearly half of people have said they have Googled someone before doing business with them.
- 77% of people have internet-enabled smartphones. So 77% of people can search for a business near me.
- 57% of people say they will not trust a business that doesn’t have a site.
- A website saves you time and money. You can presell and prequalify people on your site, reducing the time you have to sell or vet prospective customers. And it’s a write-off.
Your website can be your most valuable marketing asset. Or should be. It’s also in the long-run the most cost-effective one. Make sure your first impression is your best one. Is it time to get started?
You can get on the first page of Google with good reviews from Google My Business and Yelp when you do; you need a quality website for them to refer them to. Even a small business with limited size and budget can get good reviews that will show up on the first page.
Clients often respond I don’t want to spend the money or I can’t afford it. My answer to that is you can’t afford not to. It is costing you revenue every day you don’t have a quality site up and running. When 80%+ seek out info on the web before engaging you are missing opportunity repeatedly every day.
So then they ask, “How much is a website?” That is like asking how much is a house. You need to answer a few questions first >
